Cohort Wholesale welcomes Ontario technical sales specialist

Cohort Wholesale is pleased to welcome Cassie Russell to our team as technical sales specialist in Ontario.

Cassie joins us with a strong background in fruit and vegetable production and an enthusiasm for helping growers solve emerging issues in pest management.

Cassie completed her BSc at the University of Guelph in biological sciences where she first developed a passion for entomology. In 2017, she was awarded the U of G’s Highly Qualified Personnel (HQP) scholarship to complete a Master’s project on improving pepper weevil monitoring in Ontario field and greenhouse peppers. Most recently, Cassie worked as both a Vegetable Specialist and the Tree Fruit Specialist for OMAFRA, where she led pest monitoring projects and generated creative solutions to sharing knowledge in the absence of in-person meetings.

Currently, Cassie is finishing her MSc and is looking forward to defending this spring. In her spare time, she loves to share her entomology expertise and has helped with planning educational community events such as Guelph Bug Day.

Cassie is very excited to be joining the Cohort Wholesale team and looks forward to working with retailers and farmers throughout Ontario.
